Saints
Saint David is invoked against tremors.
Saint David was a hermit around the year 500 in Thessaloniki. He preached his faith by his example, his speeches and his advice. The sick came to visit it and never left without relief from their pain and healing.
INVOCATION
I cry out to You, Lord; have pity on me and my misery. Deliver me from this infirmity. Because Saint David has spread your glory, accept the prayer that I address to you through him.
Glory to the Father (+), and to the Son (+), and to the Holy Spirit (+), now and always, as from the beginning and in all ages and ages. So be it.
Make three signs of the cross on the limbs.
PRAYER
Lord, we are blind and vanity seduces us very quickly. If I want to justify myself, my mouth will condemn me; and if she undertakes to show my innocence, she will only prove my crime. When I consider myself carefully, I recognize that no creature has ever done me injustice, and so I have nothing to complain about. After offending you so much, it is right that every creature should arm itself against me. Shame and contempt is what is owed to me; praise, honor and glory to you! If I do not prepare myself to suffer with joy, even to desire to be despised, I cannot have solid peace nor receive spiritual light; you will not remit my trespasses unless I remit those that were done to me. O my God, I forgive my enemies: forgive them also, because they do not know what they are doing. So be it.
