Jesus, Saviour of the world, sanctify your priests and Levites.

O Jesus, annihilated in the Eucharist to be the home of love of the Catholic Church and the strength of souls, we offer you our prayers, our actions, our sufferings, for your priests, and so that each day the reign of your Sacred Heart may be further extended.

O Jesus, eternal Pontiff, divine Sacrifice, you who in an incomparable surge of love for mankind, your brothers and sisters, have allowed the Christian Priesthood to spring forth from your Sacred Heart, deign to continue pouring into your priests the life-giving streams of infinite Love.
Live in them, transform them into you; make them, by your grace, the instruments of your mercies; act in them and through them, and make them, after having clothed themselves with you in faithful imitation of your adorable virtues, work in your name and by the power of your spirit the works which you yourself have done for the salvation of the world.
Divine Redeemer of souls, see how great is the multitude of those who are still sleeping in the darkness of error; count the number of those unfaithful sheep who stand beside the precipices; consider the multitude of the poor, the hungry, the ignorant and the weak who groan in abandonment.
Come back to us through your priests; truly live again in them; act through them and pass again through the world, teaching, forgiving, consoling, sacrificing, renewing the sacred bonds of Love between the Heart of God and the heart of man. So be it.

O Jesus, Eternal Shepherd of souls, deign to hear our prayer for the Priests! Fulfill in it your own infinite Desire. Are not Priests not the dearest and most delicate beat of your Heart, the deepest love, in which all your Love for souls is condensed?
Without doubt, we confess that we have made ourselves unworthy to have Holy Priests. But your Mercy is infinitely greater than our misguidance and malice.
O Jesus, let only those who are called by you rise to your priesthood; enlighten the Pastors in their choices, the directors in their advice, the educators in the culture of vocations. Give us Priests of angelic purity, of perfect humility, of seraphic charity, of heroic renunciation, apostles of your Glory, saviours and sanctifiers of souls.
Immaculate Virgin, Mother of the Eternal Priest, you who sit in the Upper Room as Mistress and Queen of the Apostles, deign to make our humble prayer pass through your blessed lips; make it resound in the Heart of your Divine Son, and through your Almighty intercession, obtain from Him for the Church an unceasingly renewed Pentecost. So be it.
